A Daily Yoga Ritual, Restored

For Melody, a certified yoga instructor, wellness wasn't something she practiced for an hour a day. It was an ecosystem she curated across her entire home.

She'd already audited the obvious things. The food in her kitchen. The products in her shower. The cleaning supplies under her sink. Her home studio, where she practiced and taught daily, was meant to be a clean, intentional extension of that philosophy.

"Yoga is the ultimate expression of my wellness," Melody says. "I used to light a candle at the top of my mat every morning. It was my signal to the world that for the next sixty minutes, I was unavailable."

But over time, Melody noticed a troubling contradiction. The very ritual that marked her transition into presence was quietly working against her health.

"I'd be halfway through a flow and I'd feel this pressure building up in my sinuses," Melody explains. "By the time I reached Savasana, I felt out of breath and with a migraine blooming behind my eyes."

The Search for Radical Purity

"I started researching how candles affect your health and I was shocked," Melody recounts. "For years I was literally breathing in petroleum byproducts while trying to cleanse my body. Even the clean brands I trusted were still using artificial chemicals."

Disheartened, Melody stopped using candles entirely. For months, her morning practice felt cold and uninspired. She tried diffusers, but they lacked the grounding presence of a flickering flame. The ritual was gone, and with it, a sense of ceremony.

Then, she discovered The Hours Collective.

The 5-Ingredient Difference

What caught Melody's attention wasn’t a promise or a trend. It was simplicity.

"When I saw there were only five organic ingredients and 100% essential oils, I felt a sense of relief," she recalls. "No guessing. No decoding labels. I chose the Yoga Collection, naturally,” Melody laughs.

For the first time, her candle aligned with the rest of her wellness standards.

The Result: Breath Without Barriers

The first morning she lit her 100 Hours of Yoga candle, Melody sat on her mat and began with some breathwork before moving into her sun salutations. Then she paused, waiting for the familiar throb of a headache.

It never came.

"It was a completely different sensory experience. The rhythmic crackle of the wood wick grounded me and the scent was earthy and real, not like a lab-created perfume. For the first time in years, I could take a deep, belly breath right over the flame and feel totally safe."

100 Hours Later

Within the first hour, Melody knew she'd found something different. The ritual had returned, without compromise.

Because she practices daily, the 100-hour burn time carried her through months of morning flows rather than weeks.

"The longevity is incredible, but the sustainability is what closed the loop for me," Melody says. "Once I got through a hundred hours and finished my candle, I followed the tutorial to clean the jar. Now, it holds my Palo Santo sticks on my altar. It's a permanent part of my space."
